The Mentoring Program

Our mentoring program is designed to guide student-athletes on the right path to academic success while playing sports at a college level

Hi, my name is Jesus Landeros and I'm a former Division 1 soccer player and now I'm ready to help you.

I will personally be working with you to create a 1,2,3 or 4 year program with the goal of attending a 4-year university on a soccer scholarship.

 

I know how the process works and I will do my best to get you there.

YEARLY PLAN

Create a yearly plan, take easier classes during season and a harder load of classes during off season.

PROGRESS REPORT & GPA CHECK-UPS

Check up on students 1-2 a semester. Find a way to raise up grades if struggling with a class. The importance or having a high GPA in order to be eligible to receive more money in grants and scholarships.  

CREATING RESUME

Resumes are very important. I will help you prepare a highly effective resume

MARKETING YOURSELF

How to reach out to coaches. Subscribe to the university emailing list. Attend college games and coaches be aware that you are there. 

EMAILING COACHES

Helping them personalize each email and creating a strategy on how and how often to email them. 

  • CHOOSING CLASSES Helping students be aware of the A-G requirements. Advise them to take elective classes at a community college while attending High School.

  • APPLYING FOR SCHOLARSHIPS & GRANTS Scholarship search based on first generation college student, household income, and desire major. 

  • ATHLETE PROFILE A visible page where coaches get to know the student-athlete. 

  • ATHLETE MESSAGING Send messages to college coaches through the system.

  • ACTIVITY LOG Stay organized with a full accounting of all recruiting activity. 

  • PREFERENCE SEARCH Be able to log your college preferences to help with your search. 

  • HIGHLIGHT VIDEO EDITING College fit finder has its own highlight video inside the system 

  • COLLEGE SEARCH Be able to research colleges bases on preferences, division, state, religion, class size, location and ect.  

  • COLLEGE PROFILE Get an in-depth look at each college and program; from major to cost and even power ranking. 

  • I.D. CAMPS Filter to find camps from around the country that are worth attending.
